Quadrant House, Caterham

Tandridge District Council acquired Quadrant House in Caterham in April 2019, recognising the building’s strategic significance in the overall aspirations for the regeneration of the town, as well as in providing employment and safeguarding office space in a central location. Quadrant House is a large, prominent, but outdated building with retail and restaurant space on the ground floor and 39,100 square feet of office space above. Working with main contractor Thomas Sinden we are carrying out the complete mechanical and electrical refurbishment of the offices including and a new centralised heat pump AC system. Elsewhere there are alterations planned to enhance the thermal performance of the building envelope, a new roof terrace at third floor level, improvements to the Croydon Road façade and the introduction of a living wall (with aesthetic, biodiversity and microclimate benefits).
