Engineering Services for Buildings

St. Peters Brewery

An exciting project for the beer lovers!

We were appointed on a design and build basis to provide the mechanical and electrical services for a new 1600m2 brewing plant at St. Peters Brewery.

St. Peter’s Brewery is one of England’s original craft breweries, founded in 1996 in former traditional agricultural buildings alongside the moated St. Peter’s Hall, deep in the picturesque Suffolk countryside. The location is ideal for the excellent water quality used in the brewing process as it benefits from water that is filtered through chalk deep beneath the brewery from its own borehole.

Working in partnership with the client and Gipping Construction we developed the mechanical and electrical services for the facility whilst also concentrating on the services requirements for the new brewing and bottling lines.

The building features an 800A main LV panel board, feeding several sub-distribution boards and brewing machinery. Part of our scope involved undertaking a number of electrical improvements and connections to the brewing equipment.

During the construction phase we also assisted with liaising and coordinating the main utilities via the providers, UKPN and Essex & Suffolk Water.
