Engineering Services for Buildings

Kings Chapel, Chelsea, London

Bower Fuller completed all the mechanical services on a refurbishment of the Kings Chapel, in Chelsea, London. The existing church building has been fully refurbished to provide 2 No. new bespoke residential dwellings.

The existing 19th century Grade 2 listed church was designed by architect Edward Blore, who also contributed to the design of Buckingham Palace. The church has been sub divided into 2 separate homes, known as St John’s and St Mark’s. The houses have 4/5 bedrooms with associated bathrooms, swimming pool, gym, cinema, games room, along with associated living, dining rooms and kitchens.

Bower Fuller was appointed to carry out the complete installation of the mechanical and plumbing services, which included VRF systems, heat recovery ventilation systems, heating, natural gas, domestic and drainage services.

Due to the remote location of the boiler rooms and air intakes / exhaust, there was also significant work associated with installing underground pre-insulated heating mains along with below ground ductwork.
