Bower Fuller provided the mechanical services required for this refurbishment of the SSD at Ipswich Hospital.

With the volume of services required to be installed into a new plantroom, an existing plantroom and limited roof space, an early involvement with the entire project team was vital to identify and address any complications with fitting the plant into the available space, access routes or the weight of the plant on the roof.

Within the new plantroom a Reverse Osmosis Water supply was installed with its required range of supporting systems including water softener, break tank, booster, carbon filter and Micron Filter. This entire system necessitated the installation of a dedicated PLC control panel.

The SSD is an area which, for its size, has a large demand of services required these included hot and cold water supplies, steam services, medical gas, heating, cooling, ventilation.
