Several Essex County Council schools utilise our Special Projects team to provide various services. This includes periodic fixed wire testing and remedial work for both electrical and mechanical services. We currently provide support to:

• Highfield School, Lawford
• Bradfield C of E Primary School
• Harwich Community School
• Braiswick Primary School, Colchester
• Wix and Wrabness Primary School

In addition to our planned maintenance contracts, we have assisted on various upgrade projects across the county to enhance environmental comfort and efficiency.

At Harwich and Highfields School, we designed and installed an arrangement of LED fittings to reduce ongoing energy costs, lower carbon footprints and provide a more pleasant level of illuminance for students to learn in. 

We have similarly worked with Engaines School in Clacton on various lighting upgrade initiatives and have supported the various school bodies in their successful applications to secure Essex County Council funding to facilitate the work.

Elsewhere at Harwich, Highfields, Great Bromley and Boxted schools we have undertaken carbon reduction initiatives such as refurbishing plant rooms to enhance insulation and improve how the heating systems are operated by incorporating improved controls integrated back to the building management system (BMS).
