Engineering Services for Buildings

Culford School, Lab Prep

We have continued our long-standing involvement at Culford School and our working relationship with main contractor Mixbrow Construction on a comprehensive refurbishment scheme of the science rooms. The mechanical and electrical package comprised a new extract ventilation system to each science room, new water heaters along with emergency gas, and water/electrical isolation panels.

The project features a bespoke LED lighting layout and the areas now benefit from an upgraded fire alarm system. While the existing single pipe heating system was retained, an arrangement of more efficient radiators and valves have been mounted on newly formed boxing as well as numerous integrated service connections once the custom-built modular benching and furniture was installed.

Due to the spaces being designated as laboratories, a CAT5 booster tank has been provided to separate the site water supply and the laboratory water supply as required by current water regulations.
