Biocrucible is a Cambridge based research company that specialises in developing the next generation of consumer diagnostics. Having previously been involved in a major mechanical and electrical fit out scheme at their facility, our Special Projects team was approached to assist with the installation of vinyl flooring as part of a plan to create modular laboratory spaces within Biocrucible’s existing office environment. To facilitate this, we undertook a significant reconfiguration which involved relocating numerous desks and transferring surplus units to the rooftop plantroom. This enabled a clear assessment of the available area to be determined for the new laboratory setup. Following the removal of existing floor tiles, plywood was laid as a sub-base before installing the vinyl flooring. Due to a compressed schedule, we operated extended working hours to meet the deadline. The refurbishment was completed within a strict four day on site window, covering a total area of 160m².
