Adastral Park, Walkway Lighting

We recently completed a project for Mixbrow Construction on the BT Adastral Park site in Martlesham, involving the replacement of bollard lighting along a walkway that was being upgraded.

Our scope required both electrical and light level design to meet the environmental parameters needed for the area. This included providing recommendations for suitable lighting solutions and associated cost options, taking into account the constraints of the site’s adjacent flora and water feature while minimising environmental impact and disturbance to local wildlife.

Close coordination with Mixbrow was essential to align our activities with the construction of the walkway and avoid any disruption to the end users’ operations during the works. This required flexibility on our attendances to maintain progress, prevent project delays, and achieve completion on schedule and in accordance with both Mixbrow’s and Bower Fuller’s stringent SHEQ and quality standards.

Our scope of works included :

  • Development of lighting options complete with design calculations for appropriate lighting levels.
  • Safe isolations and removal of existing lighting arrangements .
  • Assistance to the Main Contractor with temporary power and mechanical supplies for site accommodation.
  • Coordination of services within the groundworks.
  • Setting out and installation of bollards.
  • Final testing and commissioning of all systems.
