We are very proud to have received the 2021 Morgan Sindall Construction Pre Construction award for the East region. Sadly, because of the ongoing pandemic restrictions we collected the award virtually as we announced recently on our LinkedIn feed.
It is great that our efforts in supporting this key client to win work has also led to us being appointed by them on two major projects to provide the mechanical and electrical services.
Firstly in Harlowbury, Essex we are building a new teaching block to deliver a 2FE Primary school for ECC and an integrated Speech and Language Centre. The facility is one of only a few in Essex. All students who enrol in the Speech and Language Centre have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) or Statement of Special Educational Needs (SEN) for speech, language and communication. It is envisaged that the specialist teaching and therapy that the new school centres around will deliver significant positive impact on the development of the students in these key areas of learning.
The second project called “The Launchpad” is a three storey development which will accommodate a mixture of offices, workshops, research facilities and break out spaces, with a café and seminar spaces. It is located in the Southend Airport Business Park and will create rentable spaces to encourage new start up businesses to serve the airport and the surrounding economy.
