Engineering Services for Buildings

A Trio of Wins

We are delighted to announce our recent appointment as the M+E partner on three high profile schemes:

Civil Engineering Building, University of Cambridge – working with main contractor SDC, the new build 3 storey scheme is part of the University’s overall plan to create a premier site for physical sciences and technology. The building will comprise the control of large areas of natural ventilation, roof mounted PV’s and a ground source heat pump arrangement served by 21 x 165m deep bore holes. This project also sees a first for the University of Cambridge, with it being a full Level 2 BIM development.

University of Essex, Innovation Centre –  located on the university campus in Colchester, the centre will include 66 individual offices which are designed to accommodate start up enterprises of between two and nine employees. In partnership with Kier Construction, we will be designing and installing the M+E services which are all exposed to view. There are radiant panels and LED lighting arrangements throughout the office spaces, with open central cores, and a café and breakout area, all arranged to encourage collaboration amongst the various tenants.

Kings Chapel, London – we have started work on the mechanical installations for two very special houses in Chelsea with our client, Dawnus Construction. The project provides a sensitive restoration and reconfiguration of a 19th century chapel to create two contemporary high end dwellings which will both boast a vaulted lobby, swimming pool, chef’s grade kitchen facilities, triple height dining areas, a gym, a cinema and outdoor entertaining areas.
