Throughout 2019 staff at Bower Fuller have been fundraising and donating as part of The Barnes Group’s Charity of the Year for Stowmarket ASD Saturday Clubs. This local charity assists children and teenagers with an autistic spectrum disorder diagnosis. It aims to develop social and life skills in a safe environment and help children in the wider world outside of the club’s settings, as well as alleviating social isolation. The charity also provides respite for the families while the members are attending the club. Various activities have taken place during the year including dress down days in the office and a large raffle at our annual summer family barbeque event. The photos show that we had a sun blessed day. In one of the images we can see one of the charity’s members with his sister, alongside Barnes Group chairman William Barnes at the fundraising stall. We are proud to have raised an amazing amount that we hope will make a big difference to the charity. Already some of the funds have been used to update their computer equipment with the remainder being set aside for additional staff training and activities for the young people. We are pleased that Stowmarket ASD Saturday Clubs are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to benefit from our Charity of the Year during 2019 and they would like to thank everybody who helped raise the money.
