West Suffolk College Networking Event

Bower Fuller participated at a recent interesting event at West Suffolk College, Bury St Edmunds with other industry and education based delegates. The networking opportunity enabled the attendees to discuss and debate how to best encourage more people to embark on a career in the construction industry. The day was arranged by an employer led group created by the New Anglia Growth Group and supported by local contractors. We heard about local initiatives to promote construction as an exciting and worthwhile career together with the various funding means available for employment, training and apprenticeships. We also listened to the work that local colleges were doing with employers to make their construction courses more industry focused.  The event was well supported with follow up events planned later in the year.
