Bower Fuller has again supported the 2017 Suffolk Skills Show for the third year in a row. The show offers a careers event for all high schools in Suffolk to showcase many industries including the built environment. This year Bower Fuller hosted a technical area covering the design and project management side of mechanical and electrical contracting. Additionally, there was an interactive experience for all the students to “have a go” including wiring, bending conduit, pipe fitting and learning about various types of materials used in the building services sector. This hopefully gave an insight to the young learners on the nature of work that we do. Every student who “had a go” were awarded with goodie bag – we got through over 150 of these. Well done to all who took part, and perhaps we have provided some encouragement and inspiration to a few to consider building services as a possible career choice!
