Special Projects are a team of multi-skilled engineers who carry out electrical, mechanical and building repair requirements, all co-ordinated by a dedicated office-based support network.

The department is set up to deliver property improvement projects with a value of up to £250k across numerous sectors. In addition, there is a focus on planned and reactive maintenance programmes which are tailored for clients such as local authorities, commercial businesses, research and development laboratories, health centres, schools, and main contractors.

  • Air source heat pumps
  • Electric vehicle charging
  • Photovoltaic panels
• Plantroom refurbishments incorporating boilers, chillers, air handling units, ventilation and pipework/valve arrangements
• Heating, plumbing and gas installations
• Electrical installations, inspections, testing and fault-finding
• Emergency light testing
• Water inspection testing of heating and cooling systems
• Procurement and management of specialist sub-contractors e.g. security, fire detection and air conditioning
• Temporary site services
• Minor building and fit out packages
• Legionella risk assessments and water sampling
• Fire risk assessments
