Baylham Barns Care Home

Bower Fuller secured this design and build project and worked with local main contractors, Mixbrow, and architects KLH, to deliver this 55 bed care home.

As the home has a 10 bed wing which caters for dementia sufferers, a nurse call system was installed which alerts staff of the resident’s movements. Other electrical installations include mains distribution, lighting, fire alarm, data and CCTV systems.

The building utilises a solar hot water system backed up by gas fired boilers, which also provide the heating for the building. In the communal areas air source heat pumps were installed to provide air conditioning to ensure resident’s comfort. The resident’s bedrooms all enjoy en-suite facilities and disabled bathrooms have also been provided. Bower Fuller also provided all the mechanical services such as the hot water system, cold water system, above ground drainage and sanitaryware.
